The Mexican artist Teresa Margolles has won the Artes Mundi 5 Prize that the National Museum Cardiff awarded every two years.
The prize amounts to 40,000 pounds, one of the largest in the UK.
Teresa Margolles’s work focuses on the social conflict in Mexico, where drug-related crime has led to violence and murder.
